Office Support

Lister Petter Power Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of diesel engines, pumpsets and generators to a global market, is looking for a dynamic individual to join us as soon as possible.

This exciting new role is to support our Sales and Supply Chain functions in Quedgeley, Gloucestershire.  We are looking to offer a long-term position within a dynamic environment, with excellent amenities including a canteen and free on-site parking.

Ideal Experience and Attributes

Experience is not necessary, but the ideal candidate must have:

  • High degree of numeracy and English grammar
  • Be both ambitious and a good communicator
  • Be enthusiastic and keen to learn
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Have a good level of initiative as candidates will be expected to work on their own after initial training period

On offer to the successful candidate

  • 30 to 16.00 Monday to Thursday, with 30 minutes for lunch and 07.30 to 12.30 on Friday (37 hours a week)
  • Pay is £9.50/hour / £18,278 per year
  • 28 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays.
  • 3% pension contributions

Engine Assembler

Reference: LPPS/WEA2

Lister Petter Power Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of diesel engines, pumpsets and generators to a global market, is looking to recruit an Engine Assembler at the assembly plant in Hardwicke, Gloucestershire, to join us as soon as possible.  The company are looking to offer a long-term position within a dynamic environment, with excellent amenities including a canteen and free on-site parking.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling several diesel engines simultaneously to rigorous specifications
  • Undertaking repairs to engines under warranty scheme
  • To pack finished items for despatch
  • Help organise and control the workshop areas, ensuring these areas are kept tidy
  • Effective communications with team to sort out issues during the build
  • Checking that all work meets quality and technical standards
  • Support to stores in receiving deliveries

Ideal Experience and Attributes

Whilst in-house training will be provided, you do need to have at least a year of previous experience of engineering, machining and/or engine or engine rebuild work.

  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn
  • Ability to use a range of hand tools (e.g. power drills, glue guns, wrenches) and industrial equipment (e.g. pop rivet guns)
  • Proven background on a fast-paced automated track / assembly line
  • Experienced with running machinery (e.g. press machines, drilling machines, CNC)
  • Ability to carry out the tasks expected of an Engine Assembler whilst meeting strict build targets
  • Comfortable with working accurately from basic technical drawings and process flow charts
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Numerate and literate
  • An interest in engines is preferred
  • Good level of initiative needed as candidates will be expected to work on their own after initial training period
  • Due to the range of tools in the factory, you should be 18+ and currently have the right to work in the UK

On offer to the successful candidate

  • The hours are 07.30 to 16.00 Monday to Thursday, with 30 minutes for lunch and 07.30 to 12.30 on Friday (37 hours a week)
  • Pay is £10.50 per hour / £20,202 per year.

Warehouse Operative

Lister Petter Power Systems, a manufacturer and distributor of diesel engines, pumpsets and generators to a global market, is looking to recruit a warehouse operative at its assembly plant in Hardwicke, Gloucestershire, to join us as soon as possible.  The company are looking to offer a long-term position within a dynamic environment, with excellent amenities including a canteen and free on-site parking.

Responsibilities

  • Picking orders from the warehouse for issue to production lines
  • Co-ordinating inward deliveries by courier and freight forwarder
  • Packing orders
  • Unloading pallets
  • Keeping the warehouse and stores tidy
  • Driving forklift truck
  • Assisting generally with the smooth running of the warehouse
  • Other warehouse, stores and administrative tasks as required

Ideal Experience and Attributes

  • A fork lift / bendi operator’s licence is preferred
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • High degree of numeracy
  • A keen eye for detail
  • An interest in engines is preferred
  • Good level of initiative needed as candidates will be expected to work on their own after initial training period
